What Is An Online
Marketplace Store?
An online marketplace is very similar to a store you would visit in person. Imagine your local supermarket, but make it virtual. The difference between a supermarket and Artic Ice Shelves is the types of products we sell.
Our entire marketplace is dedicated to providing customers with services and secondhand goods that do good to the Earth. That includes everything from vintage clothing to your dad’s old toolbox. It’s better to pass those gently loved items on to someone else than the trash, and it’s better to purchase secondhand than overspend at pricey outlets. The same goes for services too.
Who is it for?
Arctic Ice Shelves is for anyone and everyone who wants to trade products and services online while contributing toward a greater philanthropy: saving the ice shelves in the Antarctic. That’s it.
Being a customer
Being a customer is half the fun. You do not need to worry about creating a store or being a vendor in order to purchase a good or service. Simply create an account, log in, and start browsing our marketplace. As a customer, you can also directly message vendors if you need to get in touch with their store. Keep in mind that you will need to upgrade to a vendor if you intend to sell anything on our platform.
Becoming a Vendor
Being a vendor is easy. You simply register yourself as a vendor and create your own storefront. Once your store is created, you can now list products for sale and connect with customers. You can upgrade to a vendor at any time.
